Nuts for Everyday Coconut

I absolutely love it when I randomly stumble upon a beauty gem that I previously had no knowledge of. The latest fantastic find is the Everyday Coconut brand of skin and hair care products.

I'll admit that I found this because of a moment of pure laziness. I was at Whole Foods and in absolutely no mood to stop into Trader Joe's just two blocks away for my go-to face wash, so I decided to poke around and see what I could find at Whole Foods.

After looking through a few shelves of mid-priced skin products, all of which were several dollars more than my TJ's brand stuff, I found this fantastic line of value priced face wash, toner and moisturizer.

In addition to being cruelty free, it is also paraben free, has no synthetic fragrance, is gluten free and is made with certified fair trade coconut from Togo, West Africa, which is helping build community empowerment and stability in that region. It's also made in my home state of Washington, so double bonus!

I was a bit nervous to try something new since rocking the boat with my skin products inevitably leads to a mess of acne and a solid month of embarrassment, but I was encouraged by the gal at the counter who raved about their products.

Sure enough, I love this stuff! It's strong enough to take off the entire day of makeup, but gentle enough on my skin (very hard to find). And, as someone who travels frequently, I absolutely love the bottle, which has a locking pump that was recently tested on a work trip down to New Orleans and made it there and back without a single drop of face wash lost in my toiletries bag.

I've only tried the face wash so far, but can't wait to try their entire line of skin care and hair care. Best of all, this line is pretty easy to find at any health foods store. Check out their store locator to find where it's sold near you: You can also order directly from them on their website at or on Amazon or VitaCost.

What new natural and cruelty-free beauty products have you stumbled upon lately?
